Eggplant announces significant ARR growth, adds global brands and expands internationally

Award-winning customer experience optimization specialist is disrupting testing market with AI-driven CXO vision, and adding significant headcount to support customers globally

London, UK and Boulder, Colorado [26 September 2018] Eggplant, the customer experience optimization specialist, today announced a series of new global customer wins, international expansion and growth in the US, European, Asian and Australasia markets, as well as significant developments to its Eggplant Digital Automation Intelligence product suite and the addition of a new Customer Experience Insights suite.

The company has doubled its annual recurring revenue (ARR) year-to-date and expanded its customer portfolio year-on-year by 70%, including new engagements with the US Army, Cerner, Sephora, Auto Trader, Chick-fil-A and Manhattan Associates. Eggplant has also received both industry and analyst recognition in the past quarter. As part of its global expansion plan, Eggplant has expanded its team by 70% in the past six months.

The news comes hot on the heels of its recognition as  a leader in the Forrester Wave™: Omnichannel Functional Test Automation, Q3 2018. Eggplant was cited for “connecting its recently-acquired performance management and user experience (UX) monitoring technology to functional testing, giving testers the opportunity to model business outcomes with Eggplant AI and validate them before releasing the apps into production.”

Earlier this year, the company acquired NCC Group’s Web Performance division, expanding its intelligent test automation offering with customer experience insights—monitoring how real customers use applications, diagnosing problems and highlighting opportunities to improve business outcomes. The acquisition formed a key part of Eggplant’s vision to deliver optimal digital experiences for its customers—making it easy to monitor, analyze and enhance the online customer journey, as well as accelerating the speed of delivery, quality and effectiveness of new digital products and services.

“This opening three quarters of 2018 has been tremendous for Eggplant, with exciting growth, new talent, great new brands in our portfolio, and recognition for our product development and roadmap,” said CEO Dr John Bates. “We are changing the traditional testing market and delivering value by driving the best digital experiences and outcomes for our client’s customers.”

Eggplant was also recognized in the SD Times 100 ‘Best in Show in Software Development’ category for its Digital Automation Intelligence Suite that is disrupting the testing market and putting the user back at the center of customer experience. In June, Eggplant was also recognized by TechMarketView as a Great British Scaleup for its market strategy, product developments and customer delivery.
